Inclusive Non-Profit Center Based
Programs For Children With Disabilities

Mission Statement

Mission

A Brighter Today strives to make a positive difference in the lives of children with medical and special needs and their families. We are committed to helping young children find, use, and strengthen their unique skills and talents, as well as recognize their potential for being members of the larger community. We value play as an integral part in children’s learning and offer an environment that fosters children’s overall development. We strongly believe in advocating for the rights of children and parents and will provide ongoing parental education and support as we find it important for future growth and understanding of children with medical and special needs.

Vision

Our vision is to help families find comfort in knowing that their child is safe, understood and respected. Our wish is to provide children with medical and special needs a place that allows them the opportunity to interact in the community, build relationships, and grow in all areas of their development. Being the first program of its kind in the United States, we plan to become a model for the rest of the country and set higher expectations for what services should be offered to children with medical and special needs and their families nationwide.

Values

A Brighter Today adopts the family-centered care approach by working closely and directly with each child’s family to work towards common goals. Our goal is to provide the highest quality childcare and meaningful learning opportunities by offering support, respect, and understanding of the unique strengths and needs of each child and their family. Relationships with the children, parents, and staff are built on trust and respect, will be valued and appreciated and treated with the utmost integrity. Documentation, assessment and reflection are key factors in our practice in order to provide the most optimal services. The shared and reciprocal knowledge and expertise of individuals from other disciplines in the community are welcomed and appreciated.
