Past Events 2004
We would like to thank the generous sponsors who made Mardi Gras at Club Jazz Nouveau (2/3/2004) a smashing success.
The event this evening was dedicated to my son Cooper.
Thank you to all of you that made our first fundraising event a success. I would like to give special thanks to Mark Ibanez of KTVU Channel 2 news for taking the time to be our celebrity guest host. To all of the wineries who generously donated their time and wine, and to Anna Alioto and Christina Erikson who were both invaluable to the success of the event. Special thanks goes out to Joe and Dee Dee for single handedly making our live auction a success. To my family and friends I thank you.

Grand Opening
Reception
Friday, March 5th
6:00-9:00pm
This is an opportunity for parents and members of the community to tour the
facility and meet the staff of A Brighter Today.
A Brighter Today, a non-profit day care center for medically fragile children, will have its Pre-Grand Opening Reception on Friday, March 5th from 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. This is an opportunity for parents, the Regional Center of the East Bay, members of the community, city Leaders, and advocates for disabled children to visit site and get a feel for what the program will offer "special needs" children.
"Thus far the community and various resources for disabled children have been so incredibly supportive of this venture. Jim Burton and his team at The Regional Center of the East Bay, Community Care Licensing, and Senator Don Perata and Marty Doyle have been instrumental in making this all happen. I am so excited as a parent of a special needs child that there is finally going to be a place where medically fragile children can be cared for. Our program will accommodate a variety of diagnoses including but not limited to cerebral palsy, developmental delay, epilepsy, failure to thrive, g-tubes and trachs. Ultimately A Brighter Today, Oakland, and future centers will forever pave the way that special needs children are cared for," said Tracy R. Ferguson, founder and CEO.
