We would like to thank the generous sponsors and Honorees who made our First Annual An Affair To Remember, Black & White Gala, February 19th, 2005 such a memorable evening. Your generosity raised $25,000 for A Brighter Today’s Berkeley site opening in April.

The event this evening was dedicated to our Honorees; Dr. Stephen Huhn, Dr. Don Olson and Dr. Terrence Sanger from Lucille Packard children’s Hospital. And to our Corporate Sponsor the Oakland Athletics, V. P. of Sales and Marketing David Alioto, for your continuous support and encouragement.

Thank you to all of you that made our first annual gala event a success. A Brighter Today raised $25,000, which for a first time event was quite an accomplishment. The proceeds of the gala will go directly to the funding for the opening of our North Berkeley site. I would like to give special thanks to Steve Raleigh of channel KRON channel 4 news and his wife Julie for taking the time to be our celebrity guest host and hostess. They made the live auction show something to remember.

You both made our live auction so much fun. To Patrick David Catering, Laura and Patrick thank you for believing and supporting our cause. To Pine Ridge winery who generously donated all of the wine for the event and to Pearl Vodka who donated all of the vodka for the Martini bars. Ricardo Scales, you are awesome. Thank you to you and your ensemble for sharing your music with us as well as generously donating your time for the event.
