Our Company

A Brighter Today was founded in September of 2003 in response to a growing need in the Bay Area for a facility that can provide specialized care for children with disabilities and medically fragile conditions.

The mission of A Brighter Today is two-fold.  The number one priority is to change the way special needs and medically fragile children are taken care of. We intend to empower our children by providing an environment that fosters learning and development.  A Brighter Today will provide medically fragile children with an opportunity for socialization that they cannot receive through traditional in-home nursing.  Secondly, A Brighter Today is committed to provide parents with choices.  The stresses and complications of raising a special needs child are immense and often overwhelming at times for parents.  A Brighter Today will operate with the highest of standards and provide parents with the security of knowing that their child is in a safe and nurturing environment.  A Brighter Today is vendored with the Regional Center of the East Bay #HBO330.

The Founder of A Brighter Today, Tracy Ferguson, is a Mother of a 3 year old child with special needs, she has an M.B.A.  She has an extreme passion for the cause of helping children with special needs and their parents.  A Brighter Today is has a continuous commitment to advocate on behalf of the developmentally disabled.  “As a parent I understand first hand the importance of positive reinforcement and the importance of celebrating each and every developmental milestone. “
